Evidence-Based Mental Health Support in Fernie, BC

You’re the one everyone relies on.
But you’re starting to feel the weight of it. You manage the details, the emotions, the relationships—often without much space for yourself.

I work with women who feel like they’re holding everything together for everyone else—while quietly burning out underneath it.

You’re capable, thoughtful, and used to handling things.

You keep things moving—at work, at home, and in your relationships. You notice what needs to be done and step in without being asked.

But lately, it feels like too much.

You’re tired. You’re more irritable than you want to be. You find yourself overthinking, second-guessing, or feeling quietly resentful.

And even though you know something needs to change, it’s hard to stop being who everyone depends on.

What I can help with:

  • Feeling responsible for everyone else’s needs

  • Constant mental load and difficulty switching off

  • Struggling to set boundaries (even when you know you should)

  • Overthinking, guilt, or second-guessing yourself

  • Feeling exhausted but unsure how to step back

Counselling offers a space to slow down and begin making sense of what’s been feeling like too much.

My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), along with mindfulness and solution-focused strategies.

Together, we look at the patterns, roles, and expectations that have shaped how you show up—and begin creating space for something different.

This isn’t about fixing you. It’s about helping you reconnect with yourself and what matters most.

Hi! I’m Sarah.

I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) based in Fernie, BC.

I’m especially drawn to working with women who are used to being the strong one—the capable one—the one who holds everything together. From the outside, things may look fine. But internally, it can feel exhausting, overwhelming, or hard to sustain.

You don’t have to keep carrying everything on your own.
